About Me
I’m a Yooper, born and raised, mother of three boys, and dedicated teacher. I'm passionate about improving our community by doing the work to protect and create opportunity for the U.P. With years of experience in education and advocacy, I'm committed to working for our neighbors and creating opportunities for the next generation of Yooper.
Community Leader
As a founding member of The Delta County Citizens for Ethical Leadership, I played an integral role in organizing and mobilizing our community. Our efforts led to the successful recall of three county commissioners and election of ethical leaders who are dedicated to transparency and accountability. Through this effort, thousands of citizens of Delta County came together and had their voices heard.
Neighbor
The heart of my campaign is my family and my neighbors. By focusing on improving the lives of my neighbors and my district, I can help make a difference. I'm not doing this because I want to be a politician. I'm doing this because I believe in the power of education, the strength of community, and the importance of standing up for what matters.
Educator
As an educator, I've used innovative methods like technology integration, project-based learning, and differentiated instruction to elevate my students' learning experiences. My efforts have significantly boosted engagement and achievement, preparing students for real-world challenges. This experience has given me insight into the unique challenges and needs of schools in the U.P.
